USAF STTR ASK-ME with Ms. Anissa Lumpkin & Special Guest

The Air Force Small Business Technology Transfer HBCU/MSI Outreach Initiative hosts a monthly ASK-ME-ANYTHING (AMA) series featuring Ms. Anissa Lumpkin, Lead Program Manager, Air Force SBIR / STTR and AFWERX Fellow with the industry's small business subject matter experts. The AMAs launched in May of 2020 to consistently offer partnership and networking to HBCU/MSIs and provide STTR program briefings and current updates on funding opportunities for industry and academia.

Revolutionizing Flight Line Operations Challenge Workshops: Virtual Collaboration Event May 4-5, 6-7, 18-19

This initiative aims primarily to support Tyndall Air Force Base redevelopment and serve as a platform for future bases around the world through the Revolutionizing USAF Flightline Operations Challenge Definition workshops.

This assessment will include topics such as sensing the flight line to allow for aircraft predictive maintenance, automating the maintainers' processes, airfield sweeper robots, enhanced weather detection, and more. The main objective will be to speed up flight line automation, data analysis, and connectivity.

Tech Warrior Tactical OPS event

Small businesses from all over the United States are invited to our virtual event on April 19-23, 2021. This five-day event is geared towards tactical technologies with possible military applications. Technologies that could benefit the warfighter are also encouraged to join us. Participating small businesses will virtually demonstrate their technology; talk through a prototype; and have a Q&A discussion with subject matter experts, government tech scouts, and industry personnel.

2021 Department of the Air Force (DAF) Strategic Development Planning & Experimentation (SDPE) / Transformational Capabilities Office (TCO) and Air Force Warfighting Integration Capability (AFWIC) Strategy Interchange Meetings (SIMs)

Please Mark Your Calendars!  The Department of the Air Force ( DAF ) intends to sponsor a hybrid Strategic Development Planning & Experimentation ( SDPE )/Transformational Capabilities Office ( TCO ) and Air Force Warfighting Integration Capability ( AFWIC ) Strategy Interchange Meetings (SIMs) during the week of 19-22 April 2021.  This technology engagement will be arranged in a hybrid setting, conducting the Plenary Session virtually, followed by face-to-face dialogue between the government experts and the industry participants.

USSF Enlisted Career Design Sprint

The Department of the Air Force CyberWorx is hosting a design sprint with United States Space Force (USSF) to help find possible solutions to the following question: “How might we develop a fully qualified Guardian who will be ready to meet future USSF challenges?” C-TRAC, in partnership with CyberWorx, is seeking members of industry and academia who have expertise and technology that can help further define the problem statement and imagine possible solutions.

Air Force Agile Revetment Challenge Q&A session

Future Air Force operations are expected to require infrastructure solutions that can be rapidly transported and assembled using fewer human and aircraft resources. We are seeking to identify and engage leading researchers to make significant advancements in state of the art protective structures. The Wright Brothers Institute (WBI) is working in partnership with the Air Force Research Laboratory ( AFRL ) to sponsor a challenge to meet this need.
