Project Bravo: Flight Data Challenge

Confirmed for Wednesday, January 5, 2022 - Wednesday, January 12, 2022
Online
Project Bravo is named after Project B, a series of joint Army-Navy target exercises on surplus ships in response to arguments made by Army BG Billy Mitchell. Project B organized data driven test exercises at the request of senior DoD leaders to validate beliefs about the future of airfare. Hosted by the Secretary of the Air Force’s Chief Digital Transformation Officer Stuart Wagner, Project Bravo will be a hackathon event to validate use case assumptions for high visibility Air Force and DoD efforts to kickstart DoD innovation. Computers and servers will be provided offering a large dataset of fighter jet and command and control telemetry data that will serve as core data. The goal of the hackathon is to understand the extent of data collected for various use cases. A second priority is to practice innovation under war-like scenarios, where Airmen must build with urgency. The relevant knowledge/expertise for this hackathon will include: Inference Engineers Data Scientist/Data Engineers Software Engineers/Developers Product Managers Data Visualization Coding/DevOps
