AFWERX: Revolutionizing USAF Flightline Operations Challenge Airfield Maintenance & Repair

The AFWERX Revolutionizing USAF Flightline Operations initiative is made up of three challenges targeted at leveraging the best technology and services to create an integrated flightline while maintaining security, being resilient and increasing agility.

These three challenges are running concurrently but are focused on the separate topics below:

HBCU Space Summit

The Air Force Research Laboratory’s (AFRL) Basic Research Innovation and Collaboration Center is pleased to present the HBCU Space Summit on June 24, 2021 from 11am-12pm EDT. With the world’s eyes focusing on the challenges of space more than ever before, the space domain is becoming increasingly important. The nation’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) have a critical role to play in expanding scientific knowledge and improving technology capabilities in space.

AFRL AI Challenge International

The Swarm and Search AI Competition Series is excited to announce the 2021 Challenge: Capture the Flag. This collaborative challenge formulated by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) in the United States and the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (dstl) in the UK, will bring together competitive AI experts from around the world.

Trusted Artificial Intelligence Challenge Series

Hosted by Innovare Advancement Center, the Trusted AI Challenge series is designed to cultivate, define and fund creative solutions to a set of challenge problems in trustworthy AI. The Trusted AI Challenge Committee has developed four challenge problems that are critical for the widespread acceptance and adoption of AI systems. The challenges are open to US based academia and small businesses, and the Air Force Research Lab international community. The submission period for white papers to the four challenge problems is OPEN NOW, with a due date of June 4th, 2021.
